Simon Puttock, the author of The Baby That Roared, had a peripatetic childhood, and he now likes to sit tight. He lives in Edinburgh, so there are mountains of things to see and do on his doorstep. Simon studied English Literature at Newcastle University, and has written several picture books, and hopes to write ‘just the right number . . .Whatever that turns out to be.’ He has been shortlisted three times for the Royal Mail Award for Scottish Children’s Books.
